Safari & Beyond Expedition Overview
Welcome to Tanzania, the largest country in East Africa. Comprised of the mainland and the Zanzibar archipelago, it is four times the size of Great Britain.
Tanzania is Africa’s visual masterpiece. A country of natural splendor, astounding wildlife, white sand beaches, charming ancient towns, archaeological sites and geological wonders.
It’s famous for its breathtaking savannahs, towering mountains, bustling cities and sun soaked islands.
Africa’s highest mountain, the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro rises from Tanzania’s lush, grassy plains and towers over the land. The beauty of the country will draw you in, the friendly people and fascinating culture will make you want to stay and experience more

Our private customized tour of 20 persons will traverse the country from our first stop, the world-renowned plains of Serengeti and Tarangire National Park, to the deep caldera of Ngorongoro Crater, and then fly out to the beautiful Island of Zanzibar.
Tarangire National Park will enlighten us with a high concentration of Elephant herds, Lions, Leopards and more than 300 bird species, which you will experience at close quarters on the Safari. Tarangire is at its best during the dry season (June-December) when many of the migratory wildlife species return to the waters of the Tarangire River.
The Serengeti is also home to the Big Five – The Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino and Leopard. The most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world, the plains of the Serengeti host Africa’s highest concentration of game.
The Serengeti Plain is the site of the annual Great Migration from August to November, with over a million wildebeest and zebra. The wildebeest move into Kenya’s Maasai Mara, crossing the Mara River in large numbers. These river crossings are among the most desired and highly regarded moments of the migration.
Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descend almost 2,000 feet to the floor of the crater, more than 12 miles in diameter and the largest non-flooded caldera in the world, containing diverse ecosystems and an astounding concentration of birds and animals. Expect to see a variety of animals from wildebeests, zebras, elephants, ostriches, and lions.
The east coast of Tanzania is blessed with beautiful untouched white beaches and the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, home to water sports, snorkelling, deep sea fishing and top-rated scuba diving. Exotic and full of color, Zanzibar captures the imagination with its ancient character and special charm. Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the island’s capital of Stone Town features the famous spice market and Prison Island.

During the short rainy season in November and December the herds move from the hills in the north to the plains in the south. During the longer rainy season from April to June they return up north. The yearly trek is determined by the rainfalls and the location of the herds might vary from year to year but your guide will know where to find the animals and where to see them best. Apart from wildebeests and zebras you might also spot predators such as lions, leopards and cheetahs.
