Lace up your kicks and join us for another exciting, fun-filled, and entertaining 3 On 3 Junior Basketball Tournament! Players of any skill level are welcome to play.

This friendly and team building Husna tournament draws players from across the globe, bringing everyone together in a fun environment.

Who knows which team will be the Junior 2025 Champions? It could be you!

Entry criteria

This competition is open to brothers only from ages 10 – 14 years old.
Each team must have a name.
Participants are permitted to only be part of 1 team.
The maximum is 4 players on a team (1 reserve player permitted, but not required)
If participants do not have a full team, Husna Staff will add you to a team with others who also require additional player(s).

Competition format

Tournament format will be dependent on number of teams available in the competition.

Where will the tournament be held?

It will be outdoors (Tennis Court).

How many basketball hoops will there be?

There will 2 basketball hoops for the competition.

Can I play basketball for fun if I do not want to participate in the competition?

Yes! Outside of the competition, the basketball hoops will be available for anyone to play.

Can I come watch the tournament?

Yes! Guests are welcome to come and watch.

Can I sign up for multiple people?

You can sign up for up to 4 people on your team. If you do not have at least 3 people on your team leave those player names blank and we will fill in your team with other players who also don’t have a complete team.

What is the skill level for this tournament?

This is an open competition; all skill levels are welcome.

If I am running late, can I still play?

You can join up until your team’s game is still in progress. If arriving late, you must wait until a stoppage in play to check into the game.

RULES

• Each round of the tournament has the same rules.
• Winning team is determined when 11 points are scored (straight to 11 - not win by 2), OR the team with the leading score at 7 minutes – whichever comes first.
• At the referee's discretion, extra time may be added in extenuating circumstances.
• If the game is tied at the end of 7 minutes, then the referee will stop play and resume after a short break.
• ‘Shoot for ball’ will be used to determine ball possession to begin the game, or anytime a game continues past 7 minutes.
• Every basket counts for 1 point.
• When a team scores a point, they will retain the ball for the next possession.
• Tiebreaker is determined by the first team to score.
• On any possession change, teams must ensure to take back the ball to the designated ‘clearance area’ before attempting a shot. The only exception is when the offensive team retrieves an offensive rebound, they can attempt another shot without having to ‘clear’.
• Failing to ‘clear’ and scoring a basket will result in the basket not counting, but the team will retain possession.
• Only after ‘check-ball’, 1 pass must be made before a basket is scored. Scoring a basket without making 1 pass will result in the basket not being counted, and ball possession given to the other team.
• Foul calls are made using the honor system – players call their own fouls. Referees have the final decision on any foul call.
• Each team will be granted one 45-second timeout per game. Timeout can only be requested when your team has possession of the ball.
• In a ‘Jump ball’ situation, the alternating possession rule will be used. The team not beginning the game with possession will be awarded the first ‘Jump ball’.
• Referee’s decisions on game calls are final and to be respected. They have the right to make adjustments as required, and will communicate any changes with the impacted teams.
